Background information:
Attachment is an emotional relationship established between two human beings in the growth of the infant. The characteristics of this emotional relationship make it unique and special.
The technique of attachment is to place the newborn directly skin to skin on the belly and breast of her mother for thirty to forty minutes. The father is actively involved with the mother in this period.
During the first few minutes the baby calms down and starts opening his eyes achieving a state of satisfaction. After a few minutes the newborn begins to salivate and to explore the breast. In many babies it is possible to observe how they approach the nipple and start sucking, making their first food in a few minutes.
Aim: Know the importance of attachment
Methods: For this study were analyzed hundred and fifty babies and their parents in the hospital "san ”.
Results: The results obtained were benefits for newborns, their parents and the relationship between them and any complications in applying the attachment immediately.

Conclusions
- It is scientifically proven that the attachment does not produce any alterations or complications in the newborn, so the World Health Organization promotes this initiative.
